The Effects of Mother-Child Group Theraplay to Enhance Parenting Behavior of their mothers and Adjustment Behavior of Child with Atopic dermatitis

|
This study aimed at testing the changes in infant with atopy and mother performing Mother-Infant Theraplay Program for the changes of the adaptive behavior of infant with atopy and mother’s child-rearing behavior. This study analyzed the contents of changes in adaptive behavior of infant with atopy, mother’s parenting stress, parenting efficacy and interaction. The subject of this study was 8 mother-infant pairs in experiment group with atopy and control group and after performing preliminary inspection before carrying out theraplay, after carrying out total 16 sessions mother-infant Theraplay program, performed the same follow-up inspection as inspection. Mother-Infant Theraplay Program was effective in changing the adaptive behavior of infant with atopy in experiment group. As a result of examination of Parenting stress, Parenting Efficacy in order to examine the changes in mother of infant with atopy. After performing mother-infant Theraplay program, in the observation of mother-child interaction in experiment group and child, in the aspects of structure, challenge, engagement and nurture, fallow-up scale appeared higher than preliminary inspection as a result of review on MIM rating scale to examine the changes in the interaction between infant with atopy and mother.
